We trim nails and clean ears on dogs of all sizes here at the shop. It takes about 30 minutes depending on your dog's temperament and how much buildup we're dealing with. We use standard clippers for the nails and a gentle solution with cotton swabs for the ears. No sedation needed for this service.
Conroe's humidity means ear infections are common in dogs, especially floppy-eared breeds. We check for redness or odor while we're in there and let you know if something needs a vet visit. Overgrown nails are hard on joints, so we keep them short enough that they don't click on tile floors. Most dogs come in every 4 to 6 weeks.

How often should I get my dog's nails trimmed?
Every 4 to 6 weeks is typical for most dogs. If you hear clicking on the floor, that's a sign they're overdue. Some dogs grow nails faster than others depending on activity level and breed.
Will you clean my dog's ears if they have an infection?
We can do a basic cleaning, but if there's active infection, redness, or discharge, we'll recommend a vet visit first. We don't want to make anything worse. A vet can prescribe medication if needed.
What if my dog won't sit still for this?
We've handled plenty of wiggly dogs. We work at their pace, take breaks, and use treats to keep things positive. If your dog is really anxious, we can talk about a full grooming appointment where we have more time.
